Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email, phone, password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text)
• Seller verification information: CNIC, bank account details — kept confidential, visible only to authorized staff. The photos of your CNIC are deleted 30 days after your seller application is approved or declined; the CNIC number itself stays on file.
• Business and product information you provide as a seller
• Usage information such as pages visited, for improving the platform
• Advertising and measurement information: how you reached Messters (campaign details in a link, such as the ad it came from) and identifiers set by Meta's tools (see below)

How we use it

• To operate your account and, for sellers, review and manage your application and listings
• To process payments and payouts
• To communicate important updates (verification, application status, order-related notices)
• To maintain marketplace trust and safety

What we don't do

We don't display your CNIC or bank details publicly, and we don't sell your personal information to third parties.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in and remember your settings, and cookies from Meta (such as _fbp and _fbc) and our own visitor cookie for advertising measurement, as described above.

Advertising and measurement (Meta)

Messters uses the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure how our advertising on Facebook and Instagram performs and to show our ads to relevant people. When you use Messters, Meta may receive actions such as the pages and products you view, searches, adding to a cart or wishlist, starting checkout, registering, and completed purchases (with the order value), together with your browser's Meta cookie identifiers, IP address and browser type. If you have an account, your email address and user ID are sent only in a hashed (scrambled) form. We never send your messages with makers or customers, your payment details, your CNIC or bank details, or your address. Meta handles this data under its own privacy policy. Messters also records, for its own records, which campaign brought you to the site. You can limit this by blocking cookies or trackers in your browser, or by adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account; contact us if you would like your Messters data deleted.

Data retention

Specific retention periods to be confirmed — generally, account information is retained while your account is active, and confidential verification documents are retained only as long as needed for compliance and marketplace trust purposes.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Some information (like transaction records) may need to be retained for legal or accounting purposes.
